Following a philosophy of emptying, we created a new frame around the stadium in order to point out this Korean architectural icon. The concept of this frame follows one of the main stadium identities, the sweeping levels. They form a landscape of waves, out of which the stadium grows like a pearl.

The new wavy deck level connects everything, all entrances of the stadium, all room functions next to the stadium and the main concourse. To emphasize the historical structure we remove the upper panels of the main concourse. The sweeping huge space becomes visible and combines the sports gallery, sports museum and skydeck into a public ring of culture. A facade of multimedia-playable large air cushions transfer the stadium to the present time.
