for a long time the formerly state-owned group was associated with attributes such as inefficiency and inflexibility, but also simple raw-material production and pollution.

the group has long since been completely restructured; this showcase austrian company is an internationally active processing group with its own steel production. its activities focus on producing top-quality steel products and processing steel and other materials; environmental protection is a top priority.

to show interested visitors – from school classes to business partners – the company's fields of activity “up close”, an expert procedure was held for the development and construction of visitor platforms that can be used in different production plants, and caramel won it.

the result is a basic module that, combined in different ways, allows various plan shapes and views, and is delivered to site prefabricated in easily transportable individual sizes. the overall form, in the company's logo colours, can be mounted (placed or suspended) at predefined nodes in each setting.

inside the symmetrical steel module, a (backlit) seating and standing platform creates several rows, so that even the back rows get the full view. after a presentation on flush-mounted flat screens, the glass panes switch from frosted to clear and visitors get a direct view of the production processes.
