All functional areas are combined in one compact building whose size takes its cue from the neighbouring existing and planned buildings.
Placing the building and its access along the northern boundary of the site leaves
the southern part of the site free for outdoor areas that get sun all day.
The whole building stands on the level northern part of the site and therefore needs no changes to the terrain for its foundations or connection to the existing ground. The design concept combines a compact building, legible group rooms and individually usable modules at a child-friendly scale.
Inside the building, a hall that all the children can use together connects the entrances to the group rooms, extending their play area.
