Around 60 coloured concrete blocks in black and yellow adorn the forecourt of the University of Art and Design Linz on the main square. Designed by Caramel Architekten, the university's gift to all the people of Linz is meant to invite them to linger while strengthening the visibility of the university in urban space. Inspired by the temporary seating steps in the same place for “Linz 09” – also designed by Caramel – this new form of street furniture is meant to open the university and the “splace am Hauptplatz” towards the main square, and vice versa.
