residential tower in simmering together with heimspiel architektur!
the twelve-storey urban building stands on the central square of the new viennese residential quarter. the standard floor is designed with seven flats per floor and a through circulation zone as a multi-purpose communal area. the 79 flats are compact. the surrounding balcony zone in front is the defining layer that largely shapes the building's appearance. the characteristic folded flat-steel railing continues in defined areas as a trellis, so that the front layer is partly greened vertically. with prefabricated features (tables, privacy screens, planters) residents can design their private outdoor space individually, creating a lively façade that gives the building identity.
