in collaboration with fritz stiper
“the premises in a villa had become too small for the expanding advertising agency. and since success also gives you the courage for bigger changes, they wanted a fundamental change of location. the object of desire was a warehouse in a tower building in the port of linz. the flair of the rough industrial architecture was to be preserved, while the raw reinforced-concrete structure had to be upgraded to meet the content, working and representative needs of a modern advertising company. (…)
despite consistently simple, industrial materials, which always run the risk of looking careless, the caramel group created a working environment that suits relaxed collaboration as well as a certain need for representation. the new surroundings in the port area are not denied inside. a new layer was added that confidently conveys the concerns of a contemporary economy, making it a good example of the successful adaptation of a building no longer needed for its original purpose”
