“reduce to the MAX” is a slogan that is already taken. Caramel borrow it anyway – after all, these are the design parameters of the object on the theme of “wet-room furniture”.
the material properties – stability and surface hardness on the one hand and elasticity on the other – led to the development of a series of wet-room furniture for different uses and in different shapes.
water simply has to be caught and channelled – towards a point where it is collected and drained. if you take the “two-dimensional MAX surface” and deform it under tension into the third dimension, it gains stiffness.
Caramel twist the slotted 2 mm board with an aluminium core around a cut-out pivot point, the drain.
the stand – a multiply slotted MAX compact board into which the tensioned form is inserted – prevents it from springing back out of the third dimension. the drain is then pressed on by screwing, and a hose system for supply and drainage is plugged in. of course any (concealed) tap can be used too. the result is a part that saves a great deal of material and working time and can be delivered and stored as a flat pack. simple to set up – wonderful.
